Linnaeus-owned Veterinary Vision, which has sites in Lancashire, Penrith, Sunderland and Glasgow, has appointed a new operations manager.

Nicola Clark’s appoint is to a new position within the business and she is particularly looking forward to supporting Veterinary Vision as it continues to grow.

However, although the role is new to Veterinary Vision, Nicola herself is no stranger to the veterinary profession as she has been a registered veterinary nurse for almost 18 years, working in a multi-disciplinary referral practice in Bedfordshire.

During that time, she covered a variety of roles from wards nursing to diagnostics, theatre, pharmacy, client care, supervisory roles and client finance manager. She also has experience at another veterinary practice focusing on credit control related matters.

Nicola said: “Never did I think that being a registered veterinary nurse would lead into the world of finance, but I’m incredibly excited to be appointed as operations manager at Veterinary Vision, the first time the business has had this role.

“Veterinary Vision has enjoyed steady growth, most recently with the opening of its new sites in Bamber Bridge and Glasgow in 2023, and I’m looking forward to supporting the business as it continues to grow.”

Outside of work, Nicola enjoys competing in ultra challenges having completed two 50km races and three 100km races. She is now aiming to complete her next 100km in under 24 hours.

She also competes in agility with her Border Collies and enjoys walking, and exploring, the Lakes with her dogs.

Veterinary Vision has a team of 15 ophthalmologists offering a dedicated referral service for cases from across the UK. It has state-of-the-art clinics in Lancashire, Penrith, Sunderland and Glasgow. For more information visit: https://www.veterinaryvision.co.uk/
